Our story

Every dumpster is full of money we decided to hand back.

BUD started on a job site in 2024. A demo crew was tearing out a $35k kitchen that was going to a landfill that afternoon. The homeowner had no idea any of it was worth saving. We've been fixing that ever since.

Our mission

Salvage as a service.

Every year, the US tears down or guts roughly 250,000 single-family homes. The average house has $8,000 to $25,000 of resellable goods inside - cabinetry, appliances, lighting, doors, hardware. Almost all of it ends up in a landfill, because the timeline is too short for a traditional estate sale.

Our bet is that the only thing standing between the dumpster and the second-hand market is logistics. A walkthrough. A catalog. A marketplace. A pickup window. Done in 14 days, not 90.

BUD is the operating system for that bet. We give the local operator the tools, the buyers, and the playbook. They give the homeowner their money back. The landfill gets a smaller load.

How we work

Three things we don't compromise on.

Principle 01

The homeowner wins first.

The platform fee comes out of net, not gross. If a sale doesn't make sense for the homeowner, we don't take it.

Principle 02

No greenwashing.

We measure the landfill diversion every house. If we can't prove the math, we don't put it on the brochure.

Principle 03

Operators are partners.

BUD Pros own their territory and their relationships. We're the back office, not the boss.

Every house has tens of thousands of dollars walking out the door in a dumpster. We're fixing that, one walkthrough at a time.
